This baby girl, about as sweet as a strawberry sundae with whipped cream and sprinkles on top, came to visit me the other day.
We had planned for an outdoor session, but the cold wet weather made us change our plans and move into the studio. I’m so thankful on days like this for the flexibility of backup locations, because Baby, Mama and Daddy were all safe, dry, cozy and comfortable for our time together.

Mommy and Daddy, also known as Kristin and Bobby have a long and romantic history together. It all started when Bobby fell heels over head in love with his best friend’s little sister back in high school. That’s about all there is to it. In actuality, their Love Story would probably make a pretty good movie, except they’ve only just started living it. We’ll just have to check back in with them over years to read the happy epilogue. Personally I think it will include a happily ever after with picket fences, puppy dogs, and silly songs– Kool Aid mustaches, and finger paints — Dancing on Daddy’s feet and of course, lots and lots of Butterfly Kisses.

I can’t begin to say how much I enjoyed getting to know this sweet family. I so look forward to watching and photographing more scenes for their movie.
Popcorn anyone?

There’s not much in this big ole’ world that can bring a smile to people’s faces the way a sweet little baby grin can.
I can’t even begin to resist the charms of an impish little guy like Benjamin. When he came to visit for his four-month photographs, he absolutely would not wouldn’t stop smiling until he suddenly conked out for the car ride home. When it came time for his mother’s viewing and ordering session, she faced a huge but wonderful dilemma . . .
How in the world do you choose between cute, adorable, and melt my ever lovin’ heart?
Click here to revisit our session and see why the decision was so hard to make. After all, these cutie pies don’t stay tiny for long at all. It took us a while to match schedules, so he had already grown quite a bit between his camera session and the date when we selected his artwork.
The answer? Just box em all up! Benjamin’s mommy chose a few of her “very most favoritest” images for gifts and to build a composite print, and then we custom designed a fine art box for her and filled it with 5×7 prints in a shiny metallic finish. The box included a disc with electronic files of each print along with personal-use reprinting privileges. Now this little cutie-pie’s parents can enjoy all of these images for years to come, and they’ll also be able to make extra copies for all the aunts and uncles, cousins and friends who just can’t narrow down their selection either.

Smile on little Benjamin. You’re already quite the charmer. I can’t wait to see what’s next in store for you.

Although Haley’s grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends, and neighbors probably already know that she has been born, it’s never “official” until the birth announcement arrives in the mail.
My good friend, the Fed-Ex driver, stopped by this morning with these announcements that I custom-designed after her photography session, and I could hardly get them opened fast enough.
She’s a yummy little bundle of love. See for yourself!

When I found out that I was going to get to photograph Tracy and Ryan’s new baby, I could hardly wait, but I had to. See, my family was leaving on vacation just a few days after she was born, and we simply couldn’t squeeze in an appointment before we left. So, Miss Haley was just over 3 weeks old when she came for her session. STILL, it was her first outing, and she and her mommy handled it like true pros.
I look forward to watching this little beauty (and her adorable big sister) grow up. Here are a few more images from our session.

Yeah, I think Miss Haley has STAR qualities, ANGEL qualities, and most definitely SQUEEZABLE qualities !

Just a few days ago, while cleaning up my outdoor studio, I met a brand new neighbor.
Actually I didn’t meet her that day, but I liked the way she was decorating her new home, so I decided to come back later to visit.
She must have run to the store for just a minute, because she left one of her kids to answer the door. I said I’d come back later.
Yesterday, I finally got to meet my neighbor.
She’s a pretty little red sparrow . . . the kind with a mask across her eyes.
Appropriately enough, since we met on Mardi Gras and she was wearing a mask and feathers, I named her Mardi.

Mardi now has four eggs in the 7-UP crate that sits on the Front Porch of my studio neighborhood.
We’re not going to disturb her, but will work carefully around her and hopefully we’ll be able to watch for the babies in the days ahead.
I’m so excited!
Although Mardi is terribly camera-shy, I believe the kiddos will be extremely photogenic.

You know your kids are going to be the cutest ones on the block.
After all, you’ve been planning their costumes since before the Fourth of July.
Do you really want to trust these precious memories to a telephone snapshot? Of course not.
Come on out to the park and let’s do this right.

Once you reserve your time slot, we’ll meet at a Katy area park on Sunday afternoon, October 24. The exact location depends upon who signs up and of course, weather and park conditions. Come dressed and ready to go because we’ll only have about 15-20 minutes per child. That’s long enough to relax and mug for the camera, but still quick enough to accommodate most young attention spans.
Afterward, you’ll receive your very own online password-protected photo gallery and a coupon for two five-by-seven prints per child or an equivalent value that you can use toward larger prints or gift items.
Now that’s one sweet deal!
Call 281.773.7465 or e-mail to reserve your time. We’ll have a SPOOK-Tacular time.
