Katy Family Photo Album

The Brown Family Photo album was a long time in the making, but I think it was worth the wait.

See, I photographed this amazing family back in December when they selected their wall portraits and Christmas cards.  Because of the holiday whirlwind and their super-busy schedules, however, we decided to wait until things slowed down to select images for their album.

After things slow down . . . . Bwaaaaaa  Haaaaaa  Haaaaaa!  Famous Last Words!

These folks have things going on!  BUSY is an understatement!

I’m so proud of them for taking the time to get these portraits taken and compiled as a legacy  before the kids scatter off to  their own busy grown-up lives.

We Trashed the Dress on the Vegas Strip

It’s DEFINITELY NOT your mother’s wedding portrait.

Oh my!  I can’t believe it’s already been a whole year since we ROCKED the Vegas Strip at the 2010 WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International) conference and trade show. Thinking back made me want to resurrect some of the photographs I took a year ago.   I made some fantastic friends that day and just thought it was about time to share these never-before-seen images.

A  photoshoot sponsored by the Chicago Trash the Dress group was probably one of my favorite activities of the whole week.We met at the pedestrian overpass near our hotel before splitting up with our gorgeous models for two whirlwind hours of traffic-stopping fun.   Trash the Dress is  not just for models.  Every day more and more brides are scheduling after-the big-day sessions with their photographers to go out and  PLAY in their super gorgeous dress.  The end result — yummy, sexy, sultry, playful, joyful  and daring art.   Contrary to the name, we don’t actually “trash” or ruin the dresses, but they might get a little dirty or wet., but most wedding dresses today fare very well in the wash.  This is nothing like your mother’s or grandmother’s  wedding portraits.

Here are a few of my favorite Trash the Dress images from that afternoon   —  I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.    Want to put on YOUR dress again and go “trashing?”  Give me a call and we’ll set you up.

Happy Birthday Addie Mae

When the Ramsey/Trapane/White family hosted a milestone birthday for their beautiful mother, Addie Mae, they invited me to document the occasion.

Since getting everyone together in good clothes is a challenge for any family, one of our priorities was to set up a backdrop for some group portraits,  both traditional and fun . . . and of course, we enjoyed a little cake and punch with some of Addie Mae’s lovely friends.

After the party, we created a little hard-cover brag book for Addie Mae to carry in her bag so that she can  always be ready to show off her lovely family. What a perfect gift!

. Happy Birthday Addie Mae.  We wish you many happy returns.

Pretty Portraits in the Park

The Waller girls and their mom were in town visiting grandparents a while back, so we met at Katy Peckham Park for a photo session.  Such pretty and very sweet little girls.

Halloween Costume Photo Special – No Tricks, Only Treats

You know your kids are going to be the cutest ones on the block.

After all, you’ve been planning their costumes since before the Fourth of July.

Do you really want to  trust these precious memories to a telephone snapshot?    Of course not.

Come on out to the park and let’s do this right.

Once you reserve your time slot, we’ll meet at a Katy area park on Sunday afternoon, October 24.  The exact location depends upon who signs up and of course, weather and park conditions.   Come dressed and ready to go because we’ll only have about 15-20 minutes per child.  That’s long enough to relax and mug for the camera, but still quick enough to accommodate most young attention spans.

Afterward, you’ll receive your very own online password-protected photo gallery and a coupon  for two five-by-seven prints per child or an equivalent value that  you can use toward larger prints or gift items.

Now that’s one sweet deal!

Call 281.773.7465 or e-mail to reserve your time.   We’ll have a SPOOK-Tacular time.
